Ofsted has published a second report evaluating the progress made in implementing 14-19 reforms. It follows up some of the key strategic issues of the first report, in 2008, and focuses particularly on the introduction of the new 14-19 Diplomas.

NIACE secured funding (2006/07) from the UK Workforce Hub to support the early development of a National Learning Alliance for the voluntary and community sector (VCS). The first step was a national consultation exercise to identify levels of interest in the concept, and to seek ideas for taking it forward.

The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) National Office commissioned NIACE to
identify the possible impact of the new qualification, registration and CPD
requirements for teachers, trainers and tutors in the learning and skills sector
(referred to here as the ‘QTLS reforms') on Third Sector (TS) providers and
practitioners.
If you are required or want to gain QTLS and already hold a teaching or training qualification then the Tariff of Initial Teacher and Trainer Qualifications can show you where to start. The Tariff, developed by Standards Verification UK, sets out the value of teaching / training qualifications gained prior to September 2007 to the units of the new qualifications PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS introduced by the 2007 FE regulations.
