The TSNLA...Our Mission, Vision and values
The Third Sector National Learning Alliance (TSNLA) is a growing, national alliance of voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises involved in learning and skills. It aims to provide a coherent national ‘voice’ from and for Third Sector providers across government departments and other important bodies, and a forum for developing Third Sector ideas and proposals - with the key aim of enabling those most disadvantaged to re-engage with learning and skills.
Our mission
Promoting the work of third sector providers of learning and skills
Vision
Our vision is for the TSNLA to:
- Act as a national 'voice' for third sector providers of learning and skills
- Champion the unique role of third sector providers in 'reaching' those people at most disadvantage in society
- Enable the exchange of information and best practice so that providers continue to improve the quality of learning delivered
- Work with all other sectors and agencies to ensure the effective delivery of good quality learning to disadvantaged people and communities
Values
We are:
- Responsive to the issues and needs of members and the wider sector
- Responsible in how we represent third sector providers
- Proactive in reaching out to partner organisations and stakeholders in order to further improve the learning and skills provided across the learning and skills sector
- Knowledgeable and experienced in the specific support needs for disadvantaged learners and the ability of the third sector to provide for these
- inclusive, equitable and diverse in the way it works, and taking action to involve all Third Sector providers, including more isolated and under-represented organisations
